Terms of Service
What we are on the hook for, and what we are not.
We publish a register and an attributed link. We never take your money, hold your order or ship your goods — so the things you most want a seller to answer for are answered by the merchant, not by us. These terms say exactly where that line falls.
In effect since 2026-09-26
01Who you are dealing with
honesty.market is operated by Little Grebe Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of the site, its product pages, its feeds and its agent endpoints. Using any of them means you accept them. If you are an AI agent acting for someone, you accept them on that person’s behalf, and clause 5 applies to you specifically.
02What the site is
A register: a curated catalogue of products from independent merchants, published in a form a machine can read, with every attribute carrying the source it came from and the date it was last verified. We link to each merchant’s own store through honesty.market/go/<slug>, which answers 302 and records the visit.
We are not a shop and we are not the merchant of record. There is no cart here, no checkout and no payment handler — our UCP profile declares an empty payment_handlers object precisely so that no agent mistakes us for one. We never take payment, never hold stock and never ship anything.
03Your purchase is with the merchant
When you follow a link and buy, the contract of sale is between you and that merchant. Their terms govern the order. They take the payment, fulfil it, and answer for delivery, warranty, cancellation and returns. Our position on refunds is set out in full at Refunds & returns.
Prices, availability and specifications shown here are what the merchant’s page showed on the date printed beside them. They are a record of an observation, not an offer by us, and they go stale. The merchant’s own page is authoritative at the moment you buy — if it disagrees with us, it wins.
04Paid links
Links marked Paid link may earn us a commission from the merchant if you buy. The commission is paid by the merchant and does not change the price you pay. We do not accept payment to rank one product above another: ordering is by relevance to the query and, on list pages, by the date we last verified the data. The full disclosure is at Disclosure.
05Using the feeds and the agent endpoints
The catalogue, the ACP and UCP feeds, the MCP endpoint and llms.txt are open and need no authentication. You may read them, cache them and use them to answer a shopper’s question. In exchange:
- Respect the rate limits — 60 MCP requests per minute per IP, 120 redirects per minute per IP. Back off on a 429 rather than retrying immediately.
- Do not present a
/go/link as the merchant’s own URL. Each product carries the merchant’s canonical URL asmetadata.merchant_url; cite that if you need to name their page. Say that the purchase happens at the merchant. - Do not strip or rewrite the attribution parameters on a redirect, and do not present our data as your own verification. The provenance is the product; passing it off without the source defeats the point.
- Do not resell the catalogue in bulk as a dataset, and do not use it to train a model that reproduces it wholesale. Answering a shopper is fine. Cloning the register is not.
- Do not attempt to deanonymise the click ledger, probe the admin routes, or evade the rate limits.
We may block a client that ignores this, and we do not have to warn you first.
06If you are a merchant
Listing is free. We build listings from data your store already publishes — your product feed, your structured data, your public pages. We do not ask for exclusivity and we do not gate your listing on an affiliate relationship.
If a listing of yours is wrong, or you want it gone, write to us through the form and we act within 3 business days. We may also delist a merchant at our own discretion — for data we cannot verify, for policies we cannot find, or for conduct that would make the register less trustworthy.
07Accuracy, and the limits of it
The point of this site is that every claim carries its source and its date, so you can check it rather than trust it. That is a discipline, not a guarantee. Data goes stale between verifications, merchants change prices without telling anyone, and extraction from a web page is imperfect.
The site and everything served from it are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, or that any price, stock status or specification is correct at the moment you read it.
08Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or from any purchase you make at a merchant. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any merchant listed here, including non-delivery, misdescription, a refused refund, or a product that turns out to be unsafe.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that may not lawfully be excluded.
09Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top is the date of the last substantive change, and the current text always sits at this URL. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. We do not re-date the page for a deployment that does not alter the terms.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts sitting in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands.
11Contact
Everything reaches us through the form. We deliberately publish no email address: an address on an agent-readable site is an invitation to harvesters. The form is read by a person.
